Vic Firth American Classic X5A drumsticks are a longer version of the classic 5A model from the American Classic series, offered as a 4-pack. The Extreme version has an additional 1/2" of length, giving more reach while keeping a playing character close to the standard 5A.
The model is made from hickory and finished with lacquer. The diameter of 0.565" / 1.44 cm and length of 16.5" / 41.91 cm work well for drummers looking for sticks with a universal diameter but a slightly longer body.
The wooden Tear Drop tip gives a clear attack on drums and cymbals. The medium taper affects the stick’s balance and response during playing.
