Meinl Planetary Tuning Forks are handcrafted and tuned in Germany according to the calculations of Swiss astronomer and musicologist Hans Cousto and his "Cosmic Octave" theory, which has found application mainly in modern classical, experimental, and electronic music.
Each tuning fork in the Planetary Tuning Fork series was created to generate the appropriate frequency of a specific celestial body (Earth, Moon, solar system planets). The tuning forks were designed for musical and educational purposes.
The seven-piece Planetary Tuning Fork Chakra Set is also used in natural medicine, therapeutic sessions, and meditation for chakra balancing.
