Description
The Silk cymbal series from Diril is characterized by a unique look and surprising sound. The top side of the cymbal has not been subjected to the lathing process but only sandblasted. This results in a raw, matte finish with numerous discolorations. These cymbals are lathed on the underside and have a brilliant finish. Their sound is very complex, however, high overtones with a sandy wash dominate the overall character. Silk series cymbals have a relatively short sustain and their sound is round, slightly muted, and pleasant to the ear.
