MEINL Sonic Energy Wind Gong Yin & Yang 18" (45 cm) is a hand-crafted gong, made in China using a special bronze alloy. These gongs are also known as Feng or Sun Gongs and are characterized by an almost flat form, which allows the gong's voice to open fully, offering a wide palette of tones and long sustain.
Lower tones dominate when the gong is played softly, however, with more intense playing, the gong opens up, producing harmonic waves. It is an instrument that, thanks to its construction, brings out sounds of exceptional depth and richness of tone.
