Snareweight #5 Brass - magnetic snare drum dampener with standard insert
Snareweight #5 Brass is a magnetic snare drum dampener designed to control overtones, sustain, and drumhead decay. The brass body presses a leather insert against the drumhead, allowing a more controlled, focused sound without using tape, gels, or glue.
The dampener attaches to the hoop with a neodymium magnet. The leather insert touches the drumhead and reduces excessive ring while keeping the drum’s natural response. The damping level can be changed by moving the dampener on the drumhead and by choosing different Snareweight inserts.
The #5 Brass model was designed mainly for metal triple flanged hoops. It works well in the studio, on stage, and during rehearsals when quick snare sound control is needed without changing the tuning.
