Description
Deep bass and crisp snare in one, thanks to unconventional front ports.
GRV C‑4BAS Acacia Bass Snare Cajon stands out at first glance – instead of the classic rear port, it features two oval resonance ports located on the front. This allows it to achieve significantly more low frequencies, and the sound is directed straight toward the listener.
The front plate made of acacia wood ensures a natural, warm, and precise sound. In combination with a birch shell, the instrument offers a great balance between powerful, low bass and a crisp, responsive slap. The bass reinforcement from the double ports works similarly to the bass-reflex designs known from subwoofers.
Inside is a snare wire, which provides the characteristic, snappy "snare sound" – perfect for accenting and diversifying the rhythm.
