EVANS Tri-Center 12.50" head is designed for conga. The Tri-Center Conga series has a synthetic construction that refers to the feel of playing on natural skin, while reducing problems typical of skin heads, such as higher sensitivity to changing conditions.

The construction consists of two 10 mil film plies and a central 2.25" patch placed between the plies. This solution reduces excessive overtones and adds mass in the center part of the head, helping to produce a more focused fundamental tone.

The surface has an etched texture, which gives a more natural feel under the hand. The sound is bright, full, and projecting, with a clear attack and a wide dynamic range during hand playing.
