Playing field

SPD-SX has nine very sensitive rubber pads and two knobs and four buttons dedicated to real-time effects. Roland's latest trigger technology guarantees exceptional accuracy and full dynamic control, and the large backlit LCD display ensures readability in all conditions. LED indicators placed one at each pad inform about the current status. When phrases are triggered, the LEDs light up to show which pad is currently playing a sound and which isn't. In addition, the intensity of the LEDs changes depending on the sound level (similar to the level indicator in mixers). High-contrast red separation lines increase the visibility of the pads on stage.
